Teton County, Wyoming

It's so great being cold! The last few mornings I've gotten up early, made my coffee, and then snuggled back under the down comforter with a book until the sun warms everything up or I feel sufficiently inspired. (I picked up some western novels at a used bookstore in Delta which are perfect for this trip.)

Driving over Togwotee Pass (9,655 feet) across the Continental Divide was gorgeous with snow on the ground and dramatic mountain ranges to the west.

Despite the cold, the wildflowers are in full bloom ...

Although I intended to be responsible and avoid populated areas, I couldn't miss Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, being right here and having an annual national parks pass.

Most campgrounds in Grand Teton National Park are first-come, first served so I was lucky to arrive before 9:00 am. and got two nights in a beautiful spot at Colter Bay on Jackson Lake. It served as my base camp as I drove up through Yellowstone and explored the area.

Hannah really should have her own park passport
since this is probably her 10th or 12th park

Back in Grand Tetons, is there a prettier place on the planet?

Deep in thought, as usual.

Wildflowers everywhere ...

Evening strolls down the trail to the beach ...

Nice way to end the day
