Supplies and Organization

I’m packing very carefully and intentionally. Like a long backpacking trip, the focus is on just what I need and no more. A compact kitchen setup for coffee and some meals, versatile clothes, comfortable sleeping arrangements and necessities like books, art supplies and music... I’m trying to think like a minimalist, at least for life on the road in the van.

Tried out all three of my camping stoves and selected the red, single burner, butane stove for its stability. I'll bring the tiny "pocket rocket" backpacking stove for a backup.

My trusty aluminum mess kit from PCT days

Loaded my palette with fresh paint and selected just the right number of brushes - of course they travel in a cherry-fabric brush sleeve.

Basic clothes which can be washed easily and layered since weather will be mixed. I'll have a nice outfit for meeting with family/friends on the road but most of the time the uniform will be t-shirt, shorts and a ball cap. Suffice it to say, I won't be a fashion icon and there won't be a lot of selfies.
